FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Residents Near Fiesta Get Parking Permits
The City Council has approved preferential parking permits for residents near Mile Square Park during the annual Fourth of July Fiesta.
Residential streets off Edinger Avenue and Brookhurst Street will be barricaded during the event, said Sally J. Franz, community services manager, and the free permits will allow access by residents.
The fiesta, sponsored by the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce, runs July 1 to 4 and features a carnival, food booths, entertainment, chili cook-off and fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Residents living in the area can obtain parking permits beginning June 21 at the Police Department.
“All we’re trying to do is get people to park in the parking lots instead of the neighborhoods,” Franz said.
