JUGGLING ACT: Faced with the choice of raising taxes or slashing the county budget by up to $60 million because of cuts in state aid, Supervisor Maggie Kildee was willing to consider drastic measures--like abolishing county government. “I wouldn’t stand in the way of that at all,” Kildee said earlier this week. . . .
