Three’s a Crowd: The ABC sitcom “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,” which has been described as an African-American “Three’s Company,” will be less crowded this fall with the departure of actress Dawnn Lewis. Sources say the producers want to take the series in “a different direction.” Her character will not be replaced, but ABC earlier announced that Raven-Symone, the littlest Huxtable from “The Cosby Show,” will join the cast next season. Lewis, who co-starred with Mark Curry and Holly Robinson, will pursue her singing and songwriting career.
