Smiling Through: Director Steven Spielberg received Poland’s Order of the Smile on Sunday for creating child-pleasing films such as “E.T.” and “Star Wars.” “I swear to always be cheerful and to continue bringing joy to children,” Spielberg said at the ceremony in the southern city of Krakow prior to keeping with tradition and drinking a glass of pure lemon juice. Spielberg is winding up work there on his Holocaust film “Schindler’s List.”
