Volkswagen Wins Round in Legal Fight With GM: The German auto maker has defeated General Motors Corp. and GM’s German subsidiary in one of a series of court battles resulting from the recent departure of a top GM executive to VW. GM alleges that its former purchasing chief, Jose Ignacio Lopez de Arriortua, took secret company documents with him to Volkswagen in March. In the first of several cases, a Frankfurt court rejected a request from GM’s German subsidiary, Adam Opel, to ban VW from employing seven managers who recently switched from GM to VW.
