Pulitzer Publishing to Sell Stock: Pulitzer Publishing Co. will offer at least 1.35 million shares of stock to help pay for its purchase of two television stations. Pulitzer plans to raise about $40 million through the issue, according to a registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Pulitzer, which owns the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, said it will use the sale to pay some of the debt it will take on to buy WESH-TV in Daytona Beach, Fla., and KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa.
