Sobriety Checkpoint to Be Set Up Friday
HUNTINGTON BEACH —
A sobriety checkpoint will be in place from 9 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday on eastbound Warner Avenue near the intersection of Golden West Street, police announced.
The checkpoint, used to apprehend drunk drivers, is the first of at least 12 to be held during the next 12 months, Police Sgt. Tris Swan said.
“We’ll stop cars and determine if the driver appears to be driving under the influence,” Swan said.
