BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Rodgers, Gaston: Fight Is Over
Angel Manager Buck Rodgers and Toronto Manager Cito Gaston say they don’t anticipate lingering hostility when the two teams begin a three-game series tonight at the SkyDome.
When they met last Wednesday in Anaheim, a brawl ensued, resulting in six ejections and an 18-minute delay. American League President Bobby Brown is expected to announce possible suspensions and fines today.
“I don’t think there’s any bad blood. It was just a bad situation,” Rodgers said. “I think bad blood has to occur over the course of time. One game doesn’t do that.”
Said Gaston: “I don’t anticipate anything to happen, either. We’re just going to play our game, just like we did before.”

Angel starter John Farrell, on his pitching performance Sunday, his worst of the season: “There are times it has you wondering a little bit, but the only thing you can do is continue to work. I’m not going to quit.”
