Alpharel Wins Contract From Bell Helicopter

Alpharel Inc., a Camarillo producer of imaging software for storing information and documentation, has been awarded a contract to install a system for Bell Helicopter Textron in Ft. Worth, Texas.

The contract will provide Alpharel with at least $500,000 in business during the rest of the year and will continue at least through 1994, said John W. Low, the firm’s chief financial officer.

He said Alpharel will supply Bell, a unit of Textron Inc., with a turnkey system including software and hardware. The hardware will be provided through an affiliation between Alpharel and IBM, Low said.

Bell will use the system for processing invoices and material related to engineering, manufacturing and purchasing, he added.
