Apple Reportedly Plans New Price Cuts: Apple Computer Inc. plans to cut prices on some of its computers and printers up to 10% and offer temporary rebates of up to $350. The price cuts reportedly will take effect today. Several phone calls to the Cupertino, Calif.-based computer maker were not immediately returned Sunday. The San Francisco Chronicle, which reported the price cuts on Saturday, cited unnamed sources inside and close to Apple. The cuts come less than a week after Apple said its earnings would decline in the second half of its fiscal year due to aggressive discounting.
