Nation IN BRIEF : PENNSYLVANIA : Governor to Get New Heart, Liver

Pennsylvania Gov. Robert P. Casey will undergo a heart-liver transplant in hopes of curing a hereditary disease. The 61-year-old governor underwent weekend tests at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center that determined his heart was not strong enough to withstand a liver transplant. Casey said Lt. Gov. Mark Singel will take over his duties during his surgery and recovery.
