MCI, Lotus Form E-Mail Alliance: MCI and Lotus Development Corp. announced they will collaborate on an integration of Lotus’ electronic mail software into MCI’s global messaging system. Under the agreement, Lotus’ cc:Mail Post Offices will be connected to the MCI Mail Network, enabling cc:Mail Mobile and cc:Mail Remote users to exchange messages without a local area network or special gateway software on their personal computers. Lotus cc:Mail users will also be able to exchange messages with users of MCI and 54 other public electronic mail services in 40 countries.
