Clinton Runs Into Warm Welcome From Soldiers

WASHINGTON —
President Clinton was warmly welcomed by soldiers Thursday as the commander in chief when he took a morning jog through nearby Ft. McNair.
Members of the Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Alpha Co. swarmed around Clinton, threw their arms around his shoulders while posing for photos, shook his hand and eagerly sought his autograph. The President beamed and seemed to enjoy the adulation as soldiers repeatedly interrupted his run.
