Alaska Airlines Prepares for Strike: Officials said a strike by flight attendants could begin as soon as today if around-the-clock negotiations fail. If an agreement is not reached, the Assn. of Flight Attendants said its members--who are opposed to concessions and work rule changes sought by the company--plan to strike against specific flights or cities instead of walking out systemwide.
