Israel charged a Palestinian-American with funding arms purchases and organizing guerrilla operations of the militant Islamic group Hamas in the occupied West Bank. Mohammed Salah, from Chicago, was one of three Palestinian-Americans arrested in January, prompting a formal complaint from Washington over a lack of access. Salah denied the army charges.
