Arcadia : Wilson Fills Trade Post

Gov. Pete Wilson has appointed the head of an Arcadia-based international trading company to direct the state’s Trade and Investment Office in Mexico City.

Wilson appointed 36-year-old Reinhold C. Schrader, a Republican who serves as president and chief executive officer of International Matrix Corp. in Arcadia. The company has developed trade operations in Mexico, France, Germany and Hong Kong.

A former vice president of Southland Bank in Arcadia and the Community Bank of Pasadena, Schrader will be paid $67,824 a year to head the Mexico City office.

The goal of the state’s trade offices is to promote commerce between foreign nations and California firms.

Schrader is a member of the board of directors of the United States/Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
