Fox Plans Latin America Cable Network: The broadcaster, hoping to take advantage of one of the fastest-growing TV markets in the world, said it will launch a 24-hour cable TV network throughout Latin America on Aug. 14. The new entertainment channel, which will carry programming in Spanish, Portuguese and English, will air movies such as “Die Hard” and TV shows such as “The Simpsons,” “L.A. Law” and “MASH.” Fox said it has already negotiated carrier agreements in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Paraguay, Ecuador and El Salvador.
