Chevron to Sell San Francisco Headquarters Building: The nation’s third-largest oil company has eliminated so many corporate staff jobs in its ongoing restructuring that it will sell its landmark gray neo-Romanesque headquarters at 225 Bush St. Workers will move to one of two other Chevron office buildings on nearby Market Street. Chevron cut 6,200 jobs in 1992 and today has 49,000 employees. The company also said it wants to sell two of its eight U.S. oil refineries--one in Port Arthur, Tex., the other in Philadelphia.
