Earn Your Clothes

* Instead of developing an exchange program where students turn in their gang-related clothes for new ones (“Students Turn In Gang-Related Attire” July 2), why not develop a program that would let students earn their new non-gang clothes? Students who are old enough could work for the clothing merchants and have their earnings directly applied toward purchasing new clothes. Not only would this be a good job experience for the students, it could help foster better relationships for them within the community.
