A Free Guide on Radon Gives Advice to Buyers and Sellers

The “Home Buyer’s and Seller’s Guide to Radon,” a new 32-page booklet by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, recommends that homes be tested for radon during realty transactions and provides step-by-step guidance on the process to buyers, sellers, agents, attorneys and home inspectors.
The EPA estimates that one out of 15 U.S. homes may have high levels of radon, a naturally occurring gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths.
