Office Depot to Acquire Local Stationer: The company has entered into an agreement to acquire Signal Hill-based Eastman Office Products Corp., which supplies goods to companies on a contract basis. Office Depot, a retail chain based in Delray Beach, Fla., has agreed to pay $85.50 per share, or a total of $100 million, for Eastman. Eastman, a provider of office supplies and office furniture, had sales of about $295 million in its latest fiscal year.
