Northwest, KLM Expand Joint Operations: The two airlines, which envision operating as a single carrier with a common name, will share the revenue and costs of running KLM flights to 11 U.S. cities. The deal allows KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which owns 49% of Northwest Airlines, to tap into Northwest’s domestic routes to supply transatlantic passengers.
