Advanced Interventional Systems: The Irvine medical laser company reported a loss of $4 million, or 40 cents a share, for the second quarter. That included a charge of $1.9 million set aside to settle a securities class-action lawsuit. The results compared to a loss of $1.5 million, or 17 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1992. Revenue was up 71% to $3.6 million from $2.1 million. The company lost $6.4 million, or 64 cents a share, for the first half, compared to a loss of $1.4 million, or 15 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Six-month revenue was down 3% to $6.9 million from $7.1 million.
