L.A. Gear Wins Against Counterfeiters: The District Court of Tel Aviv granted L.A. Gear an injunction against further sales of counterfeit L.A. Gear branded shoes by Bani Universom, a large Israeli importer, distributor and retailer of footwear. Israeli police had carried out two search and seizure raids on Bani, confiscating counterfeit shoes and Bani documents showing that they had imported more than 20,000 pairs of L.A. Gear counterfeits into Israel from a French company.
