Fidelity National Profits Up 71%
Fidelity National Financial Inc., a title insurance underwriter in Irvine, reported a 71% gain in profit for its second quarter, to $8.4 million, or 85 cents a share, from $4.9 million, or 59 cents a share, for the same quarter in 1992. Revenue was up 74%, to $141.6 million from $81.3 million. For the first half, profit increased 72% from the 1992 period, to $12.2 million, or $1.27 a share, from $7.1 million, or 88 cents a share. Revenue rose 63%, to $249 million from $153.2 million. The company said three recent acquisitions contributed significantly to the company’s six-month results.
