Cheesecake Factory Posts $1.4-Million Profit
The Cheesecake Factory Inc. posted a profit of $1.4 million in its second quarter that ended July 4, compared to a profit of $800,000 in its second quarter a year earlier.
The Calabasas-based restaurant chain has expanded from five to seven restaurants since it went public in September in a stock offering that grossed $23.6 million for the company. In going public, the company changed its quarterly reporting period. Sales for the 13 weeks that ended July 4 were $17.4 million, compared to the $13.7 million in revenues for the three months that ended June 30 of last year.
