Eaton Corp. to Buy Westinghouse Unit for $1.1 Billion: Westinghouse Electric Corp. took another big step in its push to pay off heavy debt, agreeing to sell its Pittsburgh-based distribution and controls division to the Cleveland-based manufacturer of auto and industrial parts. The unit, which manufactures electrical distribution equipment and industrial controls, will be combined with Eaton’s distribution and controls unit to create a business with projected sales of $1.6 billion.
