For Better Living Profit, Sales Decline
For Better Living Inc., the diversified San Juan Capistrano company, reported that profit for the second quarter dropped to $91,000, or 11 cents a share, from $196,000, or 22 cents a share, for the comparable period of 1992.
Sales were down 4% to $16.6 million from $17.3 million. For the first half, the company lost $390,000, or 44 cents a share, contrasted with a profit of $87,000, or 10 cents a share, for the same period last year. Six-month sales declined 10% to $29.8 million from $33.1 million.
