Services Saturday for Slain Guard
Memorial services for slain crossing guard Catherine Tucker will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Baptist Church, 1401 W. 34th St., Long Beach. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, 4400 Cherry Ave.
The Long Beach city employees union has set up a fund to help pay for funeral expenses. Donations may be made out to the Tucker Family Fund and sent to the International Assn. of Machinists, 319 W. Broadway, Long Beach 90802.
Donations also may be mailed directly to the Bank of America, 600 W. Willow St., Long Beach 90806. The fund’s account number, 08796-02467, should be written on the check.
