Film: Alan Ladd Jr. has resolved his contract dispute with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which replaced him with Frank Mancuso last month. In a press release, MGM owner Credit Lyonnais said it reached an “amicable” agreement to buy out Ladd’s contract. No terms were released. But Ladd’s contract guaranteed him $2.5 million a year through 1994, plus financial benefits totaling $5.2 million in case of wrongful termination. Ladd ran MGM for three years, starting with the troubled reign of Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti. Rumors have surfaced recently that Ladd will soon land a production deal at Paramount Pictures.
