24-Hour Children’s Radio Company Buys Southland Affiliate KPLS-AM

A 24-hour children’s radio company in Minneapolis has purchased its Southern California affiliate, KPLS (8.30 AM), which has studios in Orange and Los Angeles.

The company, Children’s Broadcasting Corp., did not disclose the terms of the sale.

In October, Children’s Broadcasting began a program aimed at young children. It includes music, educational trivia and story half-hours. It has nine affiliates now and three more signed to begin the program by October, company President Bill Barnett said.
