Hawaii’s Sharks
After living my whole life in Los Angeles and only the last few lucky years in Honolulu, I had to chuckle over your article about Hawaii’s sharks (Aug. 3). Every day I gaze at the turquoise blue ocean, feel the gentle trade winds, delight at the sight of orchids and the fragrance of plumeria trees. Oh yes, and swim in the clean, clear, warm ocean waters. Sharks? I’ve never seen one. But if they are in Hawaii, they are smart. Everyone in L.A. would be smart to come here, too.
