SIMI VALLEY : Deadline for Entering Parade Is Sept. 1
The deadline to grab a spot in the annual Simi Valley Days parade is Sept. 1, and parade organizers are urging any organizations or community members who want to participate to get their applications in soon.
“Community Pride” is the theme of this year’s parade, which will be held Sept. 18 and run down Los Angeles Avenue from Erringer Road to Sinaloa Road, said Jere Sinclair, parade chairwoman.
The field is being limited to 200 entrants, Sinclair said. Last year, 147 groups participated.
Applications are available by calling the Simi Valley Days office at 581-4280 or writing to Sinclair at the Simi Valley Days Committee, P.O. Box 164, Simi Valley, 93062-0164.
