Wet Seal Inc.: The Irvine women’s apparel retailer said it lost $373,000, or 3 cents a share, in its second fiscal quarter, contrasted with a profit of $1.4 million, or 12 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1992. Sales for the quarter ended July 31 were down 8% to $35.7 million from $38.7 million. For the first half, the company posted a loss of $302,000, or 2 cents a share, contrasted with profit of $2.3 million, or 19 cents a share, for the comparable period last year. Sales declined 5.5% to $68.7 million from $72.7 million.
