In-Flight Videos: Two Orange County companies said Thursday they are joining forces to make videos that will be shown during USAir and Hawaiian Airlines flights. Irvine-based Sony Trans Com, a subsidiary of Sony Corp., and Perri Pharris Productions in Newport Beach will produce short “news” videos sponsored by various companies. Perri Pharris will create the videos, which will be sold to airlines by Sony Trans Com. Corporate sponsors will pay “less than five cents per passenger” to have their messages broadcast to airline passengers, the companies said.
