It must be the full moon. Among the catches reported for the past week:

--At Lake Miramar in San Diego County, a 19-pound 12-ounce softshell turtle took a mackerel offered by an angler trying for catfish.

--At Castaic Lake, Tino Sanler witnessed an unidentified 13-year-old catch a 22-pound catfish using part of his hot dog for bait.

--And at Silverwood Lake, three water skiers from Garden Grove claimed a 25-pound striped bass that was struck by one of their skis in the main channel.
