UCI Gets Radio Deal for Men’s Basketball
IRVINE —
UC Irvine and campus-based KUCI (88.9 FM) have reached an agreement for the radio station to broadcast all of the Anteaters’ men’s basketball games this season.
It will be the first time in three years that all UCI road games will be carried by an Orange County station. KUCI recently increased its power from 24 watts to 200 and will now be heard by most of the county.
Kevin Turner, play-by-play announcer the last two seasons, will return. The first broadcast will be Nov. 26, when UCI opens against Salem State.
