Ellis St. Joseph; Award-Winning TV Writer

Ellis St. Joseph, 82, award-winning writer who penned segments of such television shows as “Playhouse 90” and “Logan’s Run.” St. Joseph created the adult education drama department at New York University and was a lecturer at Columbia University. Once a Warner Bros. staff writer, he wrote such films as “Joan of Paris” in 1942, “The Barbarian and the Geisha” in 1958 and “The Christine Jorgensen Story” in 1970. For television, his work included “The Outer Limits,” “Bob Hope’s Chrysler Theater,” “The Lloyd Bridges Show,” “Combat” and “Batman.” On Aug. 21 in Beverly Hills of cancer.
