2 Killed in Accident at Chemical Factory

TIJUANA —
A toxic chemical leak killed two workers at a factory here and left another in a coma Thursday, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 11:45 a.m. at Calinor, a company that makes foam materials for rugs in the industrial La Mesa neighborhood. Rescue personnel temporarily evacuated a half-block area of factories and homes.
The dead were identified as Fernando Briseno and Armando Romero. The injured worker, Hugo Javier Cardenas, was hospitalized in critical condition at the Social Security Hospital.
