WESTMINSTER : Trustees to Hold Next 3 Meetings at Schools

Share

In a bid to increase parental awareness and involvement, Westminster school trustees will hold their next three meetings at various middle schools instead of at district headquarters.

The meetings are intended to increase parent participation and familiarize parents with their children’s schools, said spokeswoman Audrey Brown.

The next meeting will be on Thursday at Willis Warner Middle School, 14171 Newland Street, Westminster. The agenda will include an award for the district’s teacher of the year, as well as selection of a new personnel commissioner.

Also, the staff will report on the potential impacts of the school voucher initiative on the November statewide ballot, Brown said.

The board’s Oct. 7 meeting will be at Helen Stacey Intermediate School, 6311 Larchwood Drive, Huntington Beach.

The Oct. 21 meeting will be at Dr. Russell I. Johnson Middle School, 13603 Edwards Street, Westminster.
