Kinko’s Service Corp., the Ventura-based center that services the privately held network of Kinko copy centers, said it will link its more than 600 nationwide stores with a video-conferencing and data network through Sprint Corp.
Kinko’s said Sprint’s video network will allow a Kinko’s customer to conduct video conferences with people in other Kinko’s stores, as well as with 3,000 public and private rooms in 38 countries.
Kinko’s said customers will be able to open video links with other stores or with public and private rooms by dialing an 800 phone number using Sprint’s automated video conference dial-up system. Kinko’s said it will begin outfitting stores with video-conferencing rooms starting in January.
