Men Sought in Vegas Kidnaping Captured
Two men wanted for the kidnaping of gambling mogul Steve Wynn’s daughter were captured Monday in St. Louis, the FBI said.
Anthony Watkins, 20, and Jacob Sherwood, 22, both of Gary, Ind., apparently had been in the St. Louis area for about a week, authorities said. Sherwood was arrested in front of a hotel Monday night, and Watkins was picked up about three hours later after a brief chase, FBI agent Jim Nelson said.
Wynn’s daughter, Kevin, was abducted from her luxury Las Vegas townhome July 26. She was found unharmed several hours later after her father, who owns the Mirage and Golden Nugget casinos, paid a $1.45-million cash ransom.
