TriCare Posts Loss for First Quarter

TriCare Inc., the Irvine occupational health-care services company, posted a loss of $187,000, or 2 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter.

That contrasted with a profit of $912,000, or 12 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier, which included income of $763,000 from discontinued operations. Revenue for the three months ended Aug. 31 declined 13% to $2.7 million from $3.1 million.
