New Chief Operating Officer for Computer Software Firm

Patrick A. Dolan has been appointed chief operating officer of Software Maintenance Specialists in Santa Ana. He has previously held senior-level positions in data processing management at SHL Systemhouse Ltd., Electronic Data Systems Corp. and Citicorp.

* Lawrence Luebbers has been appointed a partner in the Irvine office of the accounting and business services firm of Arthur Andersen. He was previously a senior manager with the firm.

* Steve Delson has been appointed executive vice president for sales and marketing at Mission Viejo Co.’s California division. Delson joined the land development company in 1974 as project engineer. He was previously senior vice president for business property sales and marketing.

* Candy Shepard has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing for Akins, an Irvine residential real estate company. She succeeds Karen Spargo, who is relocating to Hawaii. Shepard had been director of sales at Kaufman & Broad’s South Coast division. Before that, she was with Akins from 1987 to 1992 as sales manager and then director of sales.

* Larry R. Fox has joined Datatech Depot Inc., an Anaheim computer repair company, as national director of the original equipment manufacturer sales department. Fox was formerly vice president of field support at Novadyne Computer Systems.
