Thank you, thank you for Anne Kalosh’s delightful article, “Shipboard Confidential” (Sept. 12). It was enlightening, funny and romantic. As soon as I win the lottery, I will take my cruise. Until that time, I am a mental or armchair traveler. I leave this smog-infested San Gabriel Valley every Sunday when I read your wonderful Travel Section.

Although the author chose not to identify the cruise ship where she was employed, I can’t help but think it must be the Royal Viking Sun. Our 1991 Baltic cruise on the Sun was greatly enhanced by a band of super musicians from Poland. I’ll never forget Dixieland night. What a treat! The Travel Section is a highlight of every Sunday. Some of our best vacations are a result of an idea from the Travel Section.
