MOORPARK : Country Days Bring Community Closer

Share

Thousands of Moorpark residents will gather on historic High Street on Saturday for the city’s annual Country Days celebration, featuring a parade, booths and live entertainment.

“It’s a great event as far as community spirit is concerned,” Mayor Paul Lawrason said. “It’s one of the two or three times during the year that a large number of the community gets together and enjoys the day.”

The festivities begin with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast at Chaparral Middle School and moves on to the 9:30 a.m. parade and the daylong High Street festival beginning at 11 a.m.

“It’s an activity that pulls the entire community of Moorpark into one location to celebrate,” said Francis Okyere, president of the Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors most of the events.
