SANTA ANA : Library to Offer Homework Help

Share

The Central Library today will open a bilingual “homework center” with free tutoring and other assistance for students in intermediate and high schools.

For the first time, students will be able to get help in English and math, as well as advice on how to research topics and use computer software.

The center’s hours will be 4 to 7:45 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, said Maggie Owens, library services manager. “We’re hoping this will give the kids a good quiet place to study and concentrate. The tutors will be there to encourage and motivate the kids,” she said.
