Police and FBI agents said Sunday they had no solid leads in the search for a 12-year-old girl who was kidnaped at knifepoint from a slumber party in her bedroom.

“I wish I had something new, but there’s nothing concrete,” Sgt. Mike Kerns said of the hunt for Polley Hannah Klaas. She was abducted by a man described as white, bearded, 30 to 40 years old with gray or dark gray hair, police said.

About 50,000 flyers have been printed with the girl’s photo and a drawing of the man, Kerns said. Polley is white, 4 feet, 10 inches tall, with a thin build and curly brown shoulder-length hair.

She was wearing a short white skirt and a pink shirt when she was abducted from her bedroom late Friday as two friends were bound and gagged and her mother slept in another room.

The man may have entered the house through an unlocked window. After 20 to 30 minutes, her friends managed to free themselves, then woke up the girl’s mother, who called police.

Police do not suspect that a relative was involved.
