Cherokee Apparel in Sunland named Steve Colombo...

Cherokee Apparel in Sunland named Steve Colombo its Midwest vice president of sales. Colombo was formerly regional sales vice president for the clothing maker’s misses division.

He joined Cherokee in 1986.

* Castle & Cooke Homes Inc. named Bruce Freeman president of its Bakersfield and Arizona operations. Freeman was formerly president of Griffin Homes, a Calabasas real estate developer.

He succeeds Glen Hierlmeier, who resigned in July. Castle & Cooke Homes is 82% owned by Westlake Village-based Dole Food Co.

* Citadel Holding Corp., the Glendale-based parent of Fidelity Federal Bank, said it appointed Robert P. Condon president and chief executive officer of Gateway Investment Services Inc. and Citadel Service Corp.

Gateway provides securities and annuity products, and Citadel Service operates Fidelity Insurance Agency, among others.

Condon, 51, was most recently general manager of WellPoint Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of Blue Cross of California.
