Nation IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : 4 Arrests Reported in Tourist’s Slaying
Television reports said four teen-agers have been arrested in the murder of a British tourist at a highway rest stop, but police cannot comment because a judge imposed an emergency gag order. Several Florida television stations reported the four arrests, citing sources including Greg Cummings, the lawyer for one 13-year-old. Cummings said he obtained the gag order, which forced Jefferson County Sheriff Ken Fortune to cancel a late night news conference. Gary Colley, 34, of West Yorkshire, England, was killed and his girlfriend, Margaret Ann Jagger, 35, was injured at a highway rest stop Sept. 14.
